My name is Guevara Steven, everyone calls me Che, short for Guevara. I was born and raised here. Rwanda is not a destination I discovered, it is the place that shaped me.
I started TourwithChe because I kept seeing visitors guided through my country by people who did not really know it. They knew the routes. They did not know Rwanda. There is a difference.
When you travel with me you are not on a standard circuit. You are seeing Rwanda through the eyes of someone who grew up here, who speaks Kinyarwanda in the markets, who knows the farmers and the forest rangers and the best table at Meza Malonga. That connection cannot be faked, and no foreign agency can offer it.
Rwanda's story of loss and rebuilding is one of the most moving you will ever hear. I carry that story with me on every tour. I want you to understand not just where you are, but what it took for this country to become what it is today.

Jean-Claude is the other half of TourwithChe. A fellow Rwandan with deep roots in the country's national parks and communities, he knows the parks and the people so well that every trip feels personal.
Together we run every tour ourselves. You will never arrive to find a subcontracted guide who does not know your itinerary. It is always one of us, someone who actually cares about your experience from start to finish.
Urukundo is one of the mountain gorillas living in the forests of Volcanoes National Park. Every trek we run ends in moments like this one, an hour in the company of a gorilla family in their own home.
