My name is Guevara Steven — everyone in Rwanda calls me Che, after the revolutionary, because of the energy I bring to everything I do. I was born and raised here. Rwanda is not a destination I discovered; it's the place that shaped me.
I started TourwithChe because I kept seeing visitors guided through my country by people who didn't really know it. They knew the routes. They didn't know Rwanda. There's a difference.
When you travel with me, you're not on a standard circuit. You're seeing Rwanda through the eyes of someone who grew up here, who speaks Kinyarwanda in the markets, who knows the farmers and the forest rangers and the best table at Meza Malonga. That connection cannot be faked — and no foreign agency can offer it.
Rwanda's story — of destruction and then extraordinary rebirth — is one of the most powerful stories of our time. I carry that story with me on every tour. I want you to understand not just where you are, but what it took for this country to become what it is today.

Jean-Claude is the other half of TourwithChe. A fellow Rwandan with deep roots in the country's national parks and communities, Jean-Claude brings a level of local knowledge that turns a tour into something genuinely personal.
Together we run every tour ourselves. You will never arrive to find a subcontracted guide who doesn't know your itinerary. It's always one of us — someone who actually cares about your experience from start to finish.
